Hyner Mountain Snowmobile Club is located in North Central Pennsylvania just off Route 44 on “Reeders Addition Lane” approximately 5.5 miles north of Haneyville. Unlike most snowmobile clubs we are a sleep in member owned club. The current club house (called Hyner Mountain Lodge) was built entirely by our members in 1990. These members formerly comprised the Elimsport Snowmobile Club, which decided to seek a snowier site to build a “sleep-in” club house. The “Lodge” is a 24’ X 58’, two story building, which can sleep 46 Members. It has a beautiful mountain stone fireplace, large living room, snow room for gear, large eat in kitchen with wood burning stove, two screened in porches, and 4 bathrooms to accommodate a full house during snowmobiling and other Club activities. The Lodge is on land adjoining Sproul State Forest and has direct access to hundreds of miles of the North Central Snowmobile trail system. Although Hyner Mountain Snowmobile Club is primarily a snowmobile club, there are plentiful hunting opportunities right out the door, and some of Pennsylvania’s finest trout fishing streams are just a short distance away. Also just down the road is easy access to the 57 plus mile Pine Creek Rail Trail bicycling trail. The Hyner Mountain Snowmobile Club is truly a year-round recreational delight.
